‎Mysterious Death In New Georgia Gulf

A man believed to be in his late 30s was discovered dead in the New Georgia Gulf Community on Friday, September 26, 2025.

‎The deceased, identified as Luciny Bility, popularly known as Wakie, reportedly entered his room on Thursday evening, September 25. However, residents became concerned the following morning when he was not seen outside as usual.

‎“Since day broke, we did not see him coming outside, so we got concerned,” one family explained.

‎Community members said that after observing unusual silence around his room for hours, they contacted the Liberia National Police (LNP) assigned to Zone 4–Depot 3. Upon arrival, officers broke into the room and discovered Bility lying face down on his shirt.

‎According to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the LNP, Bility was immediately taken to the government health censer in New Georgia for a medical examination, where health workers confirmed him dead.

‎Family sources disclosed that Bility was a construction worker who had been away from the community for nearly a year on a job assignment. They noted that the very night he returned was when he met his untimely death.

‎Neighbors who saw him Thursday night said he appeared to be in good health. “We saw him when he passed by us; he didn’t show any signs of sickness,” two residents recounted.

The news of his death left family members, friends, and well-wishers in tears. ‎As of press time, the exact cause of death remains unknown. The Liberia National Police and medical personnel are continuing investigations. ‎In the meantime, police have secured the premises pending the conclusion of their investigation.
