Liberia-Amid the economic hardship in the country since the ascendency of the rule party, the Chairman of the governing Unity Party, Rev. J. Luther Tarpeh has assured partisans and supporters of the Rescue Mission Alliance of providing job opportunities for the people of Liberia and ensuring their success in various fields.

Welcoming hundreds of partisans and supporters of the Rescue Mission Alliance to the party’s headquarters on Broad Street, Chairman Tarpeh expressed his commitment to providing job opportunities for the people of Liberia.

The UP Chairman who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors at the National Port Authority (NPA), emphasized the importance of education and employment in building a prosperous nation.

He stated, “We are dedicated to creating jobs and offering scholarships to individuals in all disciplines, so that they can contribute to the development of our country.” This statement reflects the party’s vision for a brighter future for all Liberians.

In addition to job creation and scholarships, Chairman Tarpeh also highlighted the party’s focus on unity and inclusivity. He stated, “We welcome all citizens to join us in our efforts to build a better Liberia. Together, we can achieve great things and create a more prosperous and peaceful society.” This message of unity and collaboration is essential in fostering a sense of community and working towards common goals.

Unity Party of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has spent nearly ten months in office since it was elected in November 2023. Critics believed that the party has not done much to improve the living standards of ordinary Liberians with some complaining of the economic stagnation facing the nation under the new administration.

This latest statement coming from the Chairman of the ruling party speaks of the concerns within the governing party of the ongoing economic woe the nation is experiencing under Rev. Tarpeh’s leadership as Chairman of the ruling Unity Party.
