Court fines WBHOSC Over $2.m

SANNIQUELLIE–At long last, the 8th Judicial circuit court in Nimba County has found WBHOSC, an engineering and construction company guilty for the wrongful death of a boy   by its vehicle. The case has lasted for some.

The amount in both Liberian and United States dollars, when converted, amounts to a little over US$2.1M.

This covers, One Million five hundred thousand in general damages, One hundred and ninety-five thousand Liberian dollars in special damages and five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars in consequential damages to the family of the late Prince Gbeangan who was killed by a vehicle belonging to WBHOSC in Ganta, Nimba County.

When this paper contacted some residents in Nimba, they commended the lawyers and the court for such a sound verdict.

‘The law is slow, but when it speaks, it satisfies at times. This WBHOSC company officials are very aggressive and do not know how to address issues,” Robert, who claimed to be a relative to the late Prince said.
