Orange Liberia has officially launched its operations in Karluway District, introducing a new 4G network tower. This marks the company’s first presence in the district.
The tower now provides mobile voice and high-speed internet services to Karloken City and Wutuken Township, areas that previously had limited or no network coverage. The development is expected to improve communication, information access, and economic activity.
Expanding Connectivity to Rural Communities
Moses Yama, Territory Sales Agent of Orange Liberia in Maryland County, spoke to our reporter during a visit to Karloken City. He said the launch is part of Orange Liberia’s strategy to expand coverage to rural and underserved areas.
“Orange Liberia is committed to bridging the digital divide by providing reliable voice and data services in remote communities,” Yama stated. “This expansion supports education, business growth, social interaction, and access to critical information.”
Local Employment and Market Strategy
Yama revealed that Orange Liberia has begun recruiting local residents for sales and distribution of data bundles, SIM cards, and scratch cards. As part of the launch, the company is offering free Orange SIM cards to residents in the district and surrounding areas.
He emphasized that empowering local agents strengthens the distribution network and creates employment opportunities for young people in the region.
