Liberia National Police Vows Tough Crime Crackdown In Pleebo As Probe Begins Into Missing Motorcyclist

‎PLEEBO=The Liberia National Police (LNP) Pleebo Detachment has reaffirmed its commitment to combating crime and strengthening community security as the country moves into 2026, warning that criminal activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

‎‎Speaking in an interview with this station, Pleebo Detachment Commander Sam Suku assured residents that the police will remain firm, proactive, and impartial in dealing with all forms of crime.

‎‎He emphasized that no offense will be considered minor and that there will be no “go-go zones” for criminals within Pleebo and its surrounding communities.

‎‎According to Commander Suku, the LNP is determined to ensure that peace and security prevail, noting that anyone found engaging in criminal acts will face the full force of the law without favoritism or compromise.

“All crimes will be treated equally. No one is above the law, and no area will serve as a safe haven for criminals,” Commander Suku warned.

‎‎He further called on citizens to actively cooperate with the police by promptly reporting suspicious movements and criminal activities, stressing that effective policing depends heavily on strong community support.

‎‎“Security is a shared responsibility. When citizens work hand in hand with the police, crime can be prevented before it happens,” he added.

‎‎Police Probe Missing Motorcyclist in Barrobo

‎Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police has launched an intensive investigation into the mysterious disappearance of a 24-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Habakkuk, in Gloffaken Town, Barrobo District, Maryland County.

‎‎Confirming the development, Maryland County LNP Detachment Commander William T. Neufville described the situation as alarming and assured the public that the police are leaving no stone untouched in uncovering the truth behind the incident.

‎‎Commander Neufville disclosed that the LNP is working closely with local authorities, community leaders, and residents of Barrobo District to gather information that could lead to the whereabouts of the missing motorcyclist.

‎‎Preliminary reports indicate that Habakkuk went missing while traveling along the road between Gloffaken and Juluken Number One, a route frequently used by motorcyclists and local commuters.

‎‎The incident has sparked growing concern among residents, who are calling for swift police action and improved security along the corridor.

‎‎The Liberia National Police has urged anyone with relevant information regarding the disappearance to immediately report to the nearest police depot, assuring the public that all tips will be treated with confidentiality.

‎‎As investigations continue, the LNP reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety across Maryland County and the nation at large.
