MONROVIA-The State-run University of Liberia has administered its first 2022 entrance exam for Liberians in pursuit of higher education.
According to information from the University of Liberia, over 12,600 undergraduate candidates who registered sat the entrance exam.
According to the information, those successful candidates will be joining the other students in March 2023 at the start of the next academic year.
Speaking recently’ Cllr. Norris Tweah, Vice President of the University of Liberia Relations said the institute was going to commence its entrance on July 16, 2022 that of which was successful.
He disclosed that the UL was going to introduce digital entrance exams for undergraduate colleges including Sinje and General Studies was going to be in the computer labs on Fendall Campus.
But Saturday, July 16 entrance exam was not digital but a face-to-face paper for the undergraduates at all locations across the country.
Cllr. Tweah disclosed that the entrance was going to be administered in Montserrado on the campuses of the University of Liberia, Zwedru Multilateral, Bassa High School, Voinjama Multilateral, Straz Sinje and CH Dewey school for the undergraduates.
He told the media that the University of Liberia is concerned of providing quality education to Liberians across the country and at such; they were going to decentralize their entrance exam.
According to Cllr. Tweah, the administration of the University of Liberia has upgraded its facilities that will provide a conducive learning environment for students of the institute.
He disclosed that all of the bathrooms will have water and improve sanitary on all of the campuses, something that has been a serious challenge for the University. Cllr. Tweah said the Government of Liberia fully supported the renovation of the building and the availability of water on the campuses of the University.
