The long-awaited cleaning of Paynesville City which is fully engulfed with uncontrolled disposal of garbage has drawn the political and humanitarian attention of Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph.
This News outlet has reported in several of its publications with Paynesville Residents who have decried over the Paynesville City Corporation’s (PCC) inability to have the city clean.
But over the weekend, Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph who is the Liberian Senate Committee Chairman on Executive launched an initiative to keep Montserrado County Clean.
The cleaning of Montserrado County initiative by Senator Joseph commenced with District #6.
Senator Joseph informed the public concerning his initiative through his intellectual Respond Bureau disclosed that their team of volunteers cleans the garbage opposite the Liberia Broadcasting System with in District #6 Montserrado County.
According to the Senator Saah Joseph intellectual Respond Bureau the initiative was intended to help the Paynesville City Government carry on some cleaning up exercise by using local and earth moving equipment.
The Intellectual Respond Bureau further that the initiative was basically involved with the cleaning up of huge garbage piles and opening up gutters and waterways blocked with garbage.
The Intellectual Respond Bureau indicated that the initiative is intended to extend to the 17 districts with in Montserrado County with district #5 will be the next.
Speaking to a cross-section of Paynesville Residents Jackson Tabolo expressed gratitude to Senator Saah Joseph for helping to clean the city.
According to him, such initiative is in the best interest of the loving people of Paynesville.
James Livingstone described Senator Saah Joseph cleaning up of huge garbage piles and opening up gutters and water ways blocked with garbage only intended to encourage the inhabitants of Paynesville to reelect him in the 2023 general and presidential elections.
According to him, it is not Senator Joseph’s legislative responsibility to clean the streets and communities, stressing that after the elections, the Senator will not be in the position to keep such initiative.
Livingstone disclosed that gone are the days that politicians will use situations to win the voters’ minds when they, as politicians, are only pretending as solution makers.
