Foreign Minister Eulogizes Fallen Statesman

MONROVIA-Liberian Foreign Minister Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., has eulogized fallen Liberia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Morocco, Richelieu Archibald Williams for his dedicated services and commitment to duty and loyalty to the state.

Paying tribute on behalf of President George Manneh Weah, Minister Kemayah said Ambassador Williams rendered public service as a national duty, noting that his works were dedicated to making Liberia, the country he loves a better nation.

The Dean of the Cabinet said the late Ambassador Williams was a brilliant and intelligent statesman who was always willing to serve, adding that the late Ambassador Williams’s services to the land of his birth knew no boundaries, stating it was not to gain any personal favors or promote any party’s interests.

“His commitment and dedication to the country were simply to push the frontiers of human development to achieve national goals”, he said.

The Liberian Chief Diplomat told the wailing followers that the fallen Ambassador also served with distinction in the aviation sector of Liberia.

Foreign Minister Kemayah spoke on Monday, February 6, 2023, when he and senior officials of the government and former President of Liberia, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf attended the state funeral of the Late Ambassador Williams which was held at the First United Methodist Church in Monrovia.

Foreign Minister Kemayah noted that the late Ambassador Williams departed this life at a difficult time for Liberia when the Country needs him.

“May his soul rest in perpetual peace, and his cherished memory of dedicated and committed public service to inspire all of us to continue to build a better Liberia for all citizens”. he noted.

The Late Richelieu Archibald Williams was a dedicated public servant who served his country and people with distinction in several capacities including, former Director General of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA), former Interim Manager of the Liberia Airport Authority, former General Manager of the Roberts International Airport and former Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Roberts FIR among others.
