Rep. Karfiah Dedicates Five Hand-Pumps & Town Hall in Senoyea District, Bong

GBARNGA-As part of efforts to provide safe drinking water for citizens in Liberia, Bong County District #5 Representative and a Senatorial hopeful in the upcoming Presidential and Legislative Election scheduled for October 10, 2023 Elections, Edward W. Karfiah has dedicated five hands pumps and a town hall to citizens of Digma Clean in Senoyea District, Lower Bong County.

Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony of the pumps and town hall recently in the District, Representative Edward W. Karfiah said ‘Water is life’ and expressed his gratitude to God for always blessing him with funding to provide support to people living in rural Liberia.

The Bong County Electoral District#5 Representative revealed that water being the source of life, he deemed it necessary to provide safe drinking water for citizens of the region in other to curtail some of the many challenges they encounter on the daily basis in fetching safe drinking water from nearby creeks in the area.

Additionally, Rep. Karfiah called on the residents of the benefiting towns to maintain the facility for the good of their community.

The Bong County Senatorial hopeful further admonished the Sanoyea dwellers to use the pumps and town hall wisely, saying doing so would encourage him to do more in the future.

Speaking in a jubilant mood, residents of the benefiting towns thanked Representative Edward Karfiah for being farsighted in addressing the water situation in their communities.

They explained that the pumps dedicated will save their lives from contracting waterborne diseases compared to the past when there was no available safe drinking water.

“Many times, we find it difficult to get safe drinking water due to the lack of hand-pump facility in this area, but with the intervention of Representative Edward W. Karfiah, we are so happy,” the jubilant citizens told reporters.

They also promised to take good care of the pumps in their various communities.
