MONROVIA-The Liberia National Police Bong County Detachment has charged and sent to court one Edward Dolo for allegedly killing a Guinean national Togbah Golomu in Bellemue Town, Panta District on grounds of eating his frozen chicken.
According to the report, victim Golomu met his demise on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in Bellevue town following his alleged flogging by Edward Dolo on a nearby farm in the area.
The Police Crimes Services Division Commander John Kellenso Flomo told newsmen Tuesday that Dolo was on Friday, April 21, 2023 apprehended by state security officers following a call from some local authorities of Panta District.
Mr. Flomo said the LNP independent investigation coupled with the fifteen men jury reports and the eyewitness’s narratives have so far established that the victim was allegedly assaulted by Edward, the accused killer.
He intimated that the defendant was blamed of killing the Guinean national over the allegation of eating his frozen chicken which he asked the late Togbah to cook at the cane-juice production station.
For his part, defendant Edward Dolo who previously confirmed to the Police of killing Golomu for Frozen Chicken and rice, on Tuesday, April 26, 2023 later on somersaulted thereby denying his involvement in Togbah’s death.
Edward has however denied all of the allegations leveled against him despite the Liberia National Police preliminary findings and fifteen men jury reports linking him to the incident.
