Weah’s 3rd Doctorate Degree Delayed

-As Southeasterners’ Patience Wears Away

Report from Southeastern Liberia says many citizens in that of the country are going out of patience after a prolonged wait to see President George M. Weah seems to be far from expected.

A little over a month ago, it was reported that President Weah and an array of top government officials were expected to take a tour in Southeastern Liberia as part of a nationwide tour to appreciate citizens for their support shown him during the 2017 Legislative and Presidential Elections and at the same time inspect projects being undertaken there.

Southeastern Liberia comprises of five (5) counties including Grand Gedeh, River Gee, Grand Kru, Sinoe and Maryland.

As part of that visit, the administrators of the William V. S. Tubman University (TU) were planning to organize an extraordinary commencement convocation ceremony of the university during which it was expected that the university would have conferred on the Liberian leader another Honorary Doctorate Degree (being his 3^rd).

The frustration over the long wait for the arrival of the President in the region became increasingly embarrassing when citizens in the region were last week informed about the further delays in the visitation of the President in the area.

A journalist in the region last week informed citizens of the county that sources closed to the Chief Executive have hinted him that the President is aware of how citizens of the region were inpatient in waiting for the President, but attributed it to several international travels and other national functions.
