MONROVIA-President George M. Weah will on Tomorrow, on May 20, 2023, dedicate the West Point Playing Patch.

The pronouncement was made yesterday on the Liberia Broadcasting System,  99.9 (LBS) by the Head of the President’s  Delivery Unity (PDP) and Liberia’s Minister of State without Portfolio, Trokon Kpui.

According to him, works at the field have reached a point where the government is convinced that the stage is set for it to be turned over to Residents of the Township of  West Point.

Saturday, May 20, 2023, the Liberian Leader and other top government officials will troop their way to West Point for the purpose of inaugurating the project.

He said the Government of Liberia is working day and night to achieve its goal of dedicating the project.

When he was asked if the West Point playing page looks like the Invincible Sports Park, Minister Kpui indicated that the field which is very close to the West Point Clinic could not carry all of the features that the Invincible Sports has.

According to him, the field contains two dressing rooms, two restrooms for both sexes and lights for night games.

“We worked with what we had,” he said.

As part of activities, he said, West Point Old Timer will play a game on that field with President Weah keeping the goalposts.

He stressed that after the dedication, the government will duplicate the system at the Invincible Pack.

As for Clara Town, the ongoing project is bigger than the West Point Playground.

It contains a playing patch for kids, offices, basketball court dressing rooms, and restrooms.

He mentioned that the government has gone 85% and it is currently planting the grass.
