MONROVIA-In the wake of speculations that the West African Examination Council, (WAEC) in Liberia is faced with the financial challenge to conduct its examinations for Students, the Head of the Institution, Mr. Dale Gbotoe, has disclosed that all is now set to administer the exams.
Speaking recently in Monrovia, Mr. Gbotoe noted that the exams for 9th Graders will commence on April 24 and end on April 25, 2023, while 3rd Graders’ exams will commence from April 26 -28, 2023.
He mentioned that 6th Graders will commence their exams on April 27, and they end on the 28, 2023, while the exams for 12th Graders will begin on May 16, 2023, and will end in June 2023..
Mr. Gbotoe noted that 9th Graders are expected to use the customized Mathematical System during the examinations.
He mentioned that as of next week, WAEC will be carrying the tests to counties that are distant.
The Head of WAEC stressed that his institution is considering using air and land transport to carry tests to these counties.
Gbotoe noted that more examination centers will be created in rural areas.
Gbotoe disclosed that the Government of Liberia has paid the WAEC’s fees for close to fifty thousand 12th Graders in all public schools including 9th Graders.
