The Executive Direction of Network for Positive Change (YOUNETPO), Amb. Leo E. Tiah has praised Liberian parents who are investing in the early education of their kids.
Amb. Tiah at the same time rallied others to follow the good examples of those he calls ‘good parents.’
Serving as guest speaker at Jerusalem Brighter Learning Primary School Graduation Ceremony and Thanksgiving Program, the youth leader told the gathering that it is important for parents to focus on the early education of their kids if they want the best educational foundation of those kids to be strong.
He told the parents that paying school fees of their kids is not all that matters.
According to the YOUNETPO Executive Director, nowadays; kids are involved into many other negatives and if parents just pay their school fees without checking on them how they are proceeding with their learning activities, investment made will not be realized.
He was quick to say, “Make time for the children. No child is dull, what they need is time and support from their parents.”
Amb. Tiah intoned that parents need to endeavor to ensure that their children get the best education; adding that every parent will be super proud to see their kids achieving and making moves in life based on the educational foundation that has been set for them at the early stage.
Speaking to the kids who graduated from playschool to first grade, Tiah motivated them to push harder by making sure that they get prepare each day for school.
“You have not completed schooling; there are many other classes still ahead of you that you need to complete. You have to remain focus and learn because education is the key to success,” Amb. Tiah encouraged the kids.
Providing one dozen of copybooks to each of the nine kids who graduated from preschool, the youth leader said he was moved by the performances of the kids.
According to him, the kids proved that they were not just seated and not learning anything, but said from their performances he was proud of them and their teachers whom he said did excellent work with the kids.
Little Wisdom Jallah made his parents proud when he introduced the guest speaker and delivered his speech as the valedictorian of the institution.
He spoke on the theme, “The Importance of early childhood education”
He said early childhood education is a broad foundation for lifelong learning band wellbeing indicating that one of the best investments a country can make is to invest in early child care and education to promote, human resources department and social development.
“A house that has solid foundation will surely last many years”
The kid went on to say, “In early childhood education, we learned the letters of the alphabet, count numbers, spell words, and identify colors, identify objects and recite verses.
Based on his excellent performances during the program, little Jallah received two scholarships.
