-VP Taylor Tells BMMC’s Management
Liberia’s Vice President Jowel Howard Taylor has lauded the Management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) for being a true partner to the CDC led Government, especially through the creation of job opportunities for many Liberians and other nationals.
She was speaking on Sunday, October 16, 2022 during a visit at New Liberty Gold Mine in Kinjor, Grand Cape Mount County.
Madam Howard-Taylor also appreciated BMMC for her support over the years towards the Social Development Fund of Grand Cape Mount County.
Meanwhile, the Vice President is calling on the local county authorities to engage the citizens on usage of the funds being provided by the company.
During the visit, the Liberian Vice President toured several sites on the Mine including; Kinjor Open Pit, Larjor Open Pit, and Round Park.
At the same time, the Technical Project Manager of Bea Mountain Mr. Tansel Ozerkan provided an overview of the Mine operations along with key department heads.
At the end of the tour, the Vice President thanked the Management of BMMC for the warm welcome and reception received for her two days visit.
She also expressed delight for the level of developmental projects being carried out by BMMC to improve the lives of the Citizens of Kinjor and surrounding Communities in Grand Cape Mount County.
Upon her departure from NLGM, the Vice President held a Town Hall meeting with Citizens in Kinjor Village, at which time she called on the Local Leadership to work with its citizens to make adequate use of the fundings being provided by BMMC for both the County and the three Clans in Gola Konneh District.
