Monrovia-A Member of the Global Methodist Church Transition Team, Rev. Pay Cooper Mondolo, is urging the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gregory O. W. Coleman to stop his officers from going after peaceful worshipers of the Global Methodist Church.

Currently, the United Methodist is struggling with the “The Book of Doctrine and Discipline that gives recognition to same sex marriage and practices in church that prompted some members to break away and to join the Global Methodist Church.
The former United Methodist Church District Superintendent is now a transitional team member of the Global Methodist Church and said it is time the police inspector general order his men to stop going after their members stressing that he is a Methodist.
Speaking Thursday, March 13, 2025, on Truth FM, Rev Mondolo said the police should get their hands off the Church issues that are unfolding, especially the Police IG and that of the Justice Minister who both are members of the United Methodist, describing them as brothers of the church.
According to Rev. Mondolo, the Police IG Coleman did speak with the Bishop of the United Methodist to find a solution and upholding peace and reconciliation but indicated that the bishop did not give creance to such mitigation by the police boss.
Rev. Mondolo said the transitional team members of the Global Methodist Church will honor the invitation by the Liberian Senate to engage them during the hearing on their stance against same sex marriage in the church.
He said the Global Methodist Church in Liberia will uphold the principal of God and not to compromise the truth for anything as the unbelievers are doing.
