MONROVIA-The former Chairman of the People Liberation Party, (PLP) Wilmot Paye,    has mentioned that he will be a formidable candidate in the Montserrado County Senatorial Election.

Mr. Paye noted that Senator Saah Joseph has been poorly representing Montserrado County.

The PLP’s former Chairman noted that Senator Joseph has been bragging about the humanitarian assistance he provided during the outbreak of the Ebola Virus in the Country.

“No one should brag about what he or she does at the expense of the people’s sweat. “You were elected, and you must do what the people want and provide the necessary necessities for the multitude”. Mr. Paye added.

Paye pointed out that he possessed the requisite experience and competence to represent the people of Montserrado County.

“I am someone with a high level of integrity and that’s what the County needs”, he added.

Paye, who once served as National Chairman of the former ruling Unity Party, stressed that leadership comes with experience.

Speaking on the Bumper Show at the Liberia Broadcasting System, 99.9,  he pointed out that his long service in the public has adequately prepared him for such a task.

Paye indicated that he once served as Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Transport, during the Leadership of Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf,  Secretary-General of UP, and Chairman of UP and LPL.

“We were requested based on the people’s criteria, we have been a fearless negotiator”.
