SEGAL Takes Giant Leap

MONROVIA-The Management of Security Expert Guard Agency of Liberia (SEGAL) along with partners and Government officials including Civil Society Organizations dedicated its refurbished modernized central Headquarters.

Speaking on the importance of the event, the Senior Finance Officer of SEGAL  Francis Zazay said with the level of work carried out at their headquarter clearly demonstrates the level of decency and value associated with their services given to their valuable clients.

According to him, the newly dedicated edifice has all of the facilities and comfort for the staff and that of their clients.

During the event, the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of  the Security Expert Guard Agency of Liberia (SEGAL) Momo Cyrus and the Agency  were honored separately by two institutions that included the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations of Liberia and  the Lofa Eye Newspaper.

Presenting the certificate as Liberia’s Most Outstanding Security Agency on behalf the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations of Liberia Chairman Jeramiah Paye said their honor was based on  the level of transformation and integrity that  the  SEGAL  management brought  to  the private security sector  of the country .

Also, the Lofa Eye Publisher Joseph Nyandibo said  they have followed  the   activities  of SEGAL’s Boss relating to   his role played  in making  Lofa  County   for  the first time,  to become  the champion  of  the County Meet as chairman  of the county sport steering committee .

According to him, through the leadership of Mr. Cyrus,   Lofa County is unified through sports, something that prompted the honor that was bestowed upon him.

Responding the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Security Expert Guard Agency of Liberia (SEGAL) Momo Cyrus expressed gratitude to the two institutions for the honor bestowed upon him and the Agency.

He appreciated the management team and that of the staff for their dedication and commitment in providing professional services to their clients.

Mr. Cyrus also committed twenty thousand United State Dollars   for retraining and training of staff   to be on par with contemporary private security guard services.

He  also urged  Authorities at  the Ministry  of Justice  to ensure   the a regulator system  in  formulating  a contractor agreement  with both  the private security agency  and  that of their clients .

According  to him, such regulation will help both the government generate revenue  through  their taxes  and  the  private security Agencies;  having a coordinated  contractor system with  their clients.

He then called for a private-public partnership with in the country’s security sector.
