Under the banner Mission Africa, a group of missionaries from the USA/Canada has provided humanitarian assistance to hundreds of underprivileged Liberians.
The donation, according to the official spokesman of the team, Pastor Glory Augustine Blamo, was triggered when his attention was drawn to the youthful population of the country living in destitute; noting that as man of God it was necessary to intervene in the situation.
According to Pastor Blamo, the team is in the country to access the spiritual needs of the country and to build the church in other parts of Liberia and Africa at large. “We are here to carry on an assessment on what we can do as a ministry to spread the gospel and touch the lives of Liberians; I am a Liberian and having lived in Canada for more than a decade, and blessed by God, I think it its time that I make impact on other people`s lives and this is why the Solid Rock Ministries has embark on this journey,” he added.
Pastor Blamo further noted that the Solid Rock Ministries of Edmonton vision 2030 is to preach a holistic gospel into the fifteen political sub-divisions of Liberia and expand the ministry across the African continent.
“We are custodians of the gospel and God has given us the responsibility to preach his words in every nation, and in doing so we cannot leave out the spiritual and social needs of the people and that is what exactly the church is engaged in,” Pastor Blamo asserted.
He used the occasion to call on government attention to prioritize the needs of underprivileged; furthering that if the CDC-led government is to succeed in its pro-poor agenda, the incorporation of underprivileged into society, integrating and empowering them should be prioritize; cautioning government officials and other meaningful Liberians to support the incorporation and integration of the less-fortunate for a better future.
Meanwhile, the Solid Rock International Ministries of Edmonton AB Canada has pledged its support in making Liberia a better place for generations to come; stating that as a generational thinker, he will ensure that his mission plays a pivotal role in the transformation of Liberia.
