The Liberian Lawyer according to Frontpage Africa Newspaper Management used two strange cell numbers (0881790190/0777 519 212) to issue the death threat on the Journalist’s life.

The reporter is quoted as saying she received two separate calls from the lawyer, threatening to assassinate her from now to September 15 if she does not stop writing on his client.

The reporter said the second call from the same Lawyer, Cllr. Charles Abdullai was heard threatening that one of her children will get missing if she fails to slow down on reporting on his client

The Reporters Association said such death threat especially from a legal minded person who knows better is grave and troubling in a country secret killing is common and usually reported and should be taken seriously.

RAL wants the Liberia National Police to treat the threat with urgency, the official complaint from the Frontpage Africa management to immediately investigate Cllr. Charles Abdullai.

The Association is also calling on the Police as part of its mandate to provide security for the Journalist and her family because they are exposed to danger as a result of the death threat while investigation is ongoing.
