MONROVIA-The Press Union of Liberia, (PUL) on Friday, April 7, 2023, held a Media Security Analysis Dialogue under the theme: The Role of the Media and the Security during Elections”.
The Media Security Dialogue took place at the iCampus on Snapper Hill, Carey Street, Monrovia.
Given the significance of media’s security relations prior to, during, and after October’s Legislative and Presidential Elections, and how the two sectors can work together to fulfill their obligations, the Union believes that an honest discussion about the pressing issues is essential.
Friday’s dialogue brought together journalists and security personnel from all agencies of government to share experiences and find a way forward in defining the role of the media and security during the elections.
Panelists were drawn from the Armed Forces of Liberia, the Liberia National Police, the Executive Protection Agency, and the electronic and print media.
