President Weah Requests Nominations to Constitute LEITI Multi-Stakeholder Steering Group

In an effort to fully constitute the Liberia Extractive Industries Transparency Initiatives (LEITI) Multi-Stakeholder Steering Group (MSG), the President, Dr. George Manneh Weah has requested the following institutions to nominate a representative in the formation of the MSG.

Those named include:

A.    CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION
1.    Publish What You Pay
2.    Liberia Labor Congress
3.    National Civil Society Network of Liberia
4.    Press Union of Liberia
5.    Liberia Gold and Diamond Association

B. PRIVATE SECTOR
1. Golden Veroleum Liberia
2. Western Cluster Liberia
3. ArcelorMittal Liberia
4. Liberia Timber Association
5. Firestone Liberia

Meanwhile, the below listed international bodies are to serve as observers on the MSG of the LEITI

OBSERVERS
1.    United Nations Development Program (UNDP)
2.    German Technical Cooperation (Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit) GIZ
3.    African Development Bank (AfDB)
4.    European Union (EU)
5.    World Bank (WB)
6.  United States (US) Embassy
