MONROVIA-When President George M. Weah assumed the mantle of authority of the Country, he assured that no official will be targeted and sacked because of his or her political affiliation.
It was reported that the Liberian Leader maintained Officials who once served in the Regime of Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
Deeds have not been matched with words as Mo Ali became the first victim to be targeted because of political affiliation.
He was being transferred from his post at the Ministry of Finance, Development Planning to a remote county.
Another victim of President Weah’s wrath is Cllr. Cooper Krah, former Post and Telecommunication Boss.
Kruah is the National Chairman of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction, (MDR).
Last Friday, April 28, 2023, Cllr. Kruah had gone to attend the nomination ceremony of Unity Party in his capacity as Chairman of MDR.
Days after the program, Partisans of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) cried out loud for the dismissal of Kruah.
Montserrado County District # 8 Representative Acarous Moses Gray has been the lead campaigner for his dismissal.
He wrote on his face book page, “The Traitor Cooper Kruah, Minister of Post and Telecommunications must resign and resign now. You are a dangerous sellout and Good to have lunch with you on Monday. No room for political polytheists and quislings.”
It did not take too long when President George Weah nailed the coffin of former Minister Kruah.
The content of the letter reads, “The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah has nominated Atty. Worlea-Saywah Dunah as Minister of Post and Telecommunications.
Dr. Weah named the accomplished administrator and veteran public servant on Monday, May 1, 2023.
The nomination is subject to confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate.
The former Nimba County Representative (2006 – 2018) replaces Mr. Cooper W. Kruah who was relieved of his post by the Liberian Chief Executive.”
Although the President has taken his decision which is guaranteed under the constitution of Liberia, but opposition Political Party, MDR has described the constitutional mandate of the president as being political intolerant as was promised by him many years ago.
Kelvin D. J. Mattaldi, in an interview on the Truth Breakfast Show, 96.1 said the action of President George M. Weah to have dismissed one of the sons of Nimba and replaced him with another one is a calculated plan to set the people of Nimba against each.
