Pres. Weah Makes Nominations in Government; Lifts EPA Director’s Suspension, Suspends NTA Deputy Managing Director

The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has made additional nominations in government affecting the Civil Service Agency and the Ministry of Justice.
Those named with immediate effect today, July 30, 2020, by the Liberian Chief Executive are James Thompson, Director General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA) and Abraham Mitchell, Assistant Minister for Codification at the Ministry of Justice.
They are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.
Meanwhile, President Weah has lifted the suspension of Nathaniel Blama with immediate effect. Mr. Blama was earlier this year suspended as Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Additionally, the Liberian Chief Executive has suspended with immediate effect Mr. Myer Beaty of the National Transit Authority (NTA).
Mr. Beaty, Deputy Managing Director for Administration, is suspended for administrative reasons for one month without pay.
