Prayers, Celebrations Ongoing at E-Mansion

MONROVIA-The grounds of the Executive Mansion after many years came back to life as it welcomed hundreds of thousands of Liberians who have gone to praise God and to provide prayers before President George M Weah can officially move in that historical building.

Liberians trooped their way at the Executive Mansion seen dressed in their national color ( Red, White, and Blue).

President George M Weah and Vice President, Chief  Jewel Howard Taylor walked in with their all-white dress codes.

Bishop Dr  Kortu K  Brown, President, Liberia Council of Churches ( LCC) who Chair- Sub- Committee on Religion, the Bi-Centennial Steering Committee welcoming the guest said that Liberia has made history, and celebrating 200 years was a something wonderful thing.

He said even with the differences people may have, it was important for them to look at Liberia as their common denominator.

Scriptures were read from the Bible with the first one coming from the book of Isaiah 2:2-5 and the second from Deuteronomy 6:19-23.

There was also responsive reading from Psalm 121. There are also performances for the choirs in English and local vernaculars of Liberia.
