-Says President Weah As He Breaks ground For Duala Market

He said ” If politics will be the order of the day, Liberia will never be developed” He told the gathering that he as the President of Liberia, his dream is leave a good legacy for others to follow when it comes to developing the country. President Weah in his short remarks at the ground breaking ceremony recognized the poor condition the Duala market has operated in since he was a kid growing up in that community; a condition he said has even multipled to the extent that the market has grown big and is partly harmful for the people who sell on the sidewalks. He said all is set for the US$3.8 million market project construction to kick-off by tomorrow, October 13, 2020. ” By tomorrow, you will see materials for the market” President Weah told the joyous marketers. He went on to say ” I head the President of the Liberia Marketing Association thanking me, why thank me? Thank God.” All the processes who not have been possible without the help of partners. He praised the government and people of Japan for the initiative for helping the government and people of Liberia. President Weah told the marketers that he is a man who keeps promises and breaking grounds for the Duala market is a promise he will keep and in the time space of 11 months, the market project will be completed. President Weah whose mother, too was a marketer said his intentions to construct market in Liberia Liberia to intention for the construction of the market The grounds breaking ceremony was marked by cultural exhibition that saw display of different Liberian cultural dances. It was attended by an marketers from the Duala market, government officials who praised the Weah led government for the initiative.
