PAML Lauds Weah

The Progressive Alliance Movement of Liberia has lauded President George M. Weah for the lifting of the suspension of Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) President, Alice Yeebahn and colleague.

The statement was made by an executive of the group, Mamadee Keita over the weekend in Sinkor.

According to him, Vice President, Jewel Howard-Taylor has legal jurisdiction to suspend or remove legally elected executive members of the LMA saying, she was only over-exercising her power as a Vice President of Liberia.

“It does not fall in the legal prevail and jurisdiction of the Vice President of Liberia to suspend and or dismiss any elected executive member of the LMA,” he pointed out.

Alice Yeebahn and one other executive of the LMA were recently suspended by VP Taylor through a staffer of her office in a written communication something that has generated a feud over the legality of the suspension and legitimacy of the suspended LMA boss.

Weeks following her suspension, Madam Yeebahn returned to the LMA office describing her suspension a promotion and the creation of more popularity through the actions of the Vice President.
