The National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) has ordered the immediate closure of 13 degree and certificate granting institutions in the country, branding them as ‘bogus’
This pronouncement follows three months after the commission published a list of non-accredited tertiary institutions operating in the country.
According to Okay FM, the institutions affected are the Miracle Center of God Nursing Aid-Training Institute, IEFUD Institute of Professional Studies, Florence Nightingale Institute of Health Science, St. John Medical School and T Five Nursing School.
Others are Soko Sacicer Nursing School, Williams School of Health Science, Peace Home School of Health Assistants, and Faith Clinic Nursing School.
The rest are Faith Institute of Medical Arts, Kelthy’s School of Health, Leomor V. School of Health Science and Markue Health Assistant Institute.
NCHE’s Acting Director-General, David Dahn said the 13 bogus institutions are operating illegally in the country.
He said the affected institutions have failed to meet up with the criteria of the commission as required by law.
