NBYC Ends 44th Bi-Annual Session In Monrovia

-Cautions Youths To Identify Their Identity
By Esau J. Farr

The 44th Bi-Annual Session of the National Baptist Youth Council (NBYC) has ended in Monrovia with a call for youths to identify their identity.

The conference which was held under the theme, “Identify Your Identity” with text taken from Daniel 1:8-10 brought together hundreds of delegates from River Cess, Grand Bassa, Margibi, Montserrado, Nimba and Bong Counties amongst others.

The NBYC is a conglomeration of fundamental Baptist youth groups of like faith that assemble two times every year to propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ aimed at winning lost souls on to Jesus Christ.

The just ended conference was hosted by the New Life Baptist Church in the Omega Old Field Community opposite the Total Gas Station near Bernard Farm headed by its Pastor-In-Charge, John F. Tuankan, Sr.

The conference witnessed several religious leaders preaching from the conference’s theme many of whom turned the community upside down for the Kingdom of God.

In different prepared sermons, the spiritual leaders warned conference delegates to set themselves aside for God like Daniel and his three Hebrew brothers in the land of Babylon as recorded in the Bible when they (Hebrew boys) refused the king’s food and drinks to maintain their identity with God as their only creator and therefore owed everything to Him.

The men of God lamented that nowadays young men and Christians alike don’t care about their identities and therefore accept any opportunities even if they are against the will of God.

“I cautioned you all not to lose your their identities for opportunities,” one of them warned.

The conference is currently under the leadership of Pst. Mondeyesco N. Y. Tulorgbo, Gondai K. Seton and Esau J. Farr as President, Vice President and Secretary General respectively.

Others are, Reagan Gbarquoi, Jerome Tuakolun and Caleb Boima as Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary and Director of the National Mass Choir respectively.

Meanwhile, Evangelist Marvin N. Debleye has been appointed as Head of the Evangelism Department of the Council with immediate effect.

The appointment of Mr. Debleye came as a result of the death of Pst. Richard Allison, former head of the Evangelism Department of the NBYC.

The next venue of the conference is at the Soul Winning Baptist Church in Gbenequelleh in Jorquelleh District number two in Bong County.

The 45th Bi-Annual Session of the conference is expected to be held in April 2020. TNR
