The Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs (MOS) says its attention has been drawn to practice by some unscrupulous individuals who are soliciting funds from individuals under the disguised of being representatives of the Minister.

In an interview with this paper, Nathaniel McGill, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs says the “Criminal Practice” by individuals has drawn the ministry’s attention and has instructed relevant security entities to investigate these acts.
“One incident is the former Minister of Gender Madam Julia Ducan Cassell who phoned me informing me that someone called her claiming to be me and soliciting funds from her as favor for job this is criminal. I am not giving jobs, the President is the constituted authority to give people Jobs so anyone calls and claiming to be me or representing me promising favor for Job report that to the Police,” Minister McGill stressed.
Minister McGill also told this paper that there is a case where someone text the current minister of Labor Mr. Moses Kollie claiming to be him and promising Job. That case is currently undergoing investigation by the National Security Agency (NSA) he said.
“Normally I wouldn’t want to respond to such foolish comments that at this level to bring myself low asking for favor for jobs I am not associated with such practice. These are criminals and I want to call on the Public not to give credence to these people because in the first place I don’t have power to give jobs it is the President power to give jobs.” He added.
He also frowned on people giving bribe for job, noting, “anyone calling you telling you McGill say, consider that person a criminal if you want a job submit your credential to the President if he sees it necessary he will give you a Job.”
The minister boasted of having President Weah’s explicit confidence and will not go low to take money or send people to collect money on his behalf. “I am aware that this current Job is as Minister of State for Presidential Affairs is an enviable job.”
“When you are in Government position people who envy you will accused you of everything. People should credit people for being honest. I feel proud for going to the bank to take loan to get a house. If the bank doesn’t see me fit they will denied me and that is the reason why I made it public there is no criminal intent,” the minister said.
He said under his mortgage agreement with the Bank he will spend US$1,800.00 monthly for ten years
