More Teachers Get ‘C’ Certificates

MONROVIA-Christian Revival Church Association (CRCA) has impacted the lives of sixteen teachers who recently completed in service Teacher’s training program.

The program impacted citizens within Bong County parts adjacent.

This year’s graduation is COHORT-3 program of CRCA in- service Teacher’s training initiative of the Church and was recently graced at the Sumo Memorial Institute, Bong County.

Mulbah Taylor, Training Coordinator of the Christian Revival Church Association in- service Teacher’s training program said to those who have gone to witness the graduation ceremony that during their fourteen months of intensive training, those who graduated were teaching methodologies, classrooms management, assessment and evaluation including instructional planning.

Mr. Taylor furthered that some of the areas they focus their attentions during the training were mathematics, Science, language arts and Social studies. He informed the audience that the teachers were also educated in educational foundation, child development, Christian ethics, leadership and phonics during the months they underwent the training.

The program who have been attended by Bong County Senator, Prince K. Moye who did not show up  but send a proxy in person of Muwoe Kellen.

Senator Moye’s proxy encouraged the graduates to at all-time make maximum use of knowledge that has been impacted into them.

He underscored the need of quality teachers who he said are the foundation of any society that prioritizes education.

He called on them to perform well so that Liberia’s educational system can become better, like countries in the sub- region.

He said despite Liberia’s educational system being described as mess, all hands are needed on deck to correct the mess. Kellen noted that Liberia needs committed teachers to solve the issues confronting the education sector.

He stated that Education is the only tool used in tackling poverty.

For her party, the program manager of  CRCA,  Yassah David, proxy on behalf of Bishop and General Overseer of the Christian Revival Church.

Madam David stated that the CRCA in-service Teacher’s training program was designed to buttress government’s effort in addressing problems in the educational sector of Liberia.

She said CRCA is an indigenous body of Christ planning movement adding that the Church strongly believes in the authority of the Bible and salvation through Jesus Christ. David encouraged the graduates to uphold the ethics of teaching

According to her, the Church is involved with providing both spiritual and physical needs of its saints- a calling which is touching lives in Liberia, Guniea and Sierra Leone.
