Mayor Koijee ‘Booed’

Several protesters who went to present their position statement to the United Nations office in Sinkor booed at Jefferson Koijee, City Mayor of Monrovia after he came out of his office to lash at the protesters.

Some shouted; “bring back our money. You criminal. Go back.”

According to our reporter who was on the scene, Mayor Koijee and employees were seen on the last floor of the MCC building throwing insults, booing, dancing and showing their thumbs to the protesters.

This anger the protesters and decided to reign insult at him. Some of the words used to describe him   cannot be published in this paper.

Some removed their trousers and decided to show their butt to the Lord mayor of Monrovia while some insulted his mother.

Some described him as a ‘special confidant’ of president Weah.

They called on him to go back to school.

During the exchange, the reporter witnessed officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) warning Mayor Jefferson Koijee to desist from such action.
