A 21-year-old man, Robert Nyensuah has been charged with murder by the Liberia National Police(LNP), Grand Bassa County detachment.
A charge sheet from the Headquarters of the LNP in Grand Bassa County revealed that on Sunday June 24,2018 at 3:46pm, the Crime Services Department of the LNP received a murder case reported by one Trokon Vah involving the death of victim Otis Scott, age 43, member of the Bassa tribe and a resident of New York Street in Buchanan.
The charge sheet which was presented to our correspondent on June 25 in Buchanan city expressed that the incident occurred 2:00PM, Sunday June 24,2018 in Tinway Town Community, Buchanan City.
It says the incident occurred when the victim Otis Scott and his spouse Evelyn Diggs, age 40 were allegedly in a conflict in the room of Evelyn Diggs and the suspect Robert Nyensuah who is a son to Evelyn and a stepson to Otis Scott went in and allegedly stabbed Otis from the back.
The victim was then rushed to the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan where he was pronounced dead by Doctors upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the police arrested suspect Robert Nyensuah along with his mother Evelyn Diggs and a black and white handle knife used by the suspect was retrieved.
But the charge sheet did not say anything about what promoted the alleged action of suspect Robert Nyensuah.
Hence: Robert Nyensuah has been charged with murder while Evelyn Diggs is also charged with criminal facilitation.
Both are in police detention as investigation into the matter continues.
It can be recalled on Sunday April 29, 2018, a 30-year-old man Alphonso Smith allegedly stabbed his wife Hannah Smith and killed his two weeks old twin in Kpelleh Town, District One, Grand Bassa County.
Alphonso carried on the act when he asked his wife Hannah Smith, age 23 for sex after she has given birth two weeks later and upon refusal to his request for sex, he allegedly committed such act to his family, but Hannah was taken to a nearby clinical in Owensgrove and was treated while Alphonso was arrested and incarcerated.
