Living On Greed, Sorrow And Despair

Unfortunately, it is grimly appalling that in a country of over 4 million wherein severe hardship, abject poverty and upright disregard for openness and honesty for public trust can be confronted with the achievements in so short a time by amassing massive political and economic power by a minute portion of a privileged clique, surely speaks volume.

No one is against others’ self-growth or achievements, but when such accumulations are done out of the open space of transparency and denied opportunity for public scrutiny based on shielded operations driven by violation of the cardinal segment of the law of assets declaration before occupying public offices and presiding over taxpayers’ resources; obviously, an alarm bell of suspicion is bound to be rung for attention, and how did it happen so soon and too fast.

In a badly ailing and heavily handicapped economy when also there appears to be total investors fatigue; when unemployment is at its most disturbing and frustrating zenith ; when many once organized and respected homes coupled with their decent domestic norms on discipline and control are in complete shambles; when the continued heartless and reckless rape of women, pathetically little girls and babies; re-enforced by criminality cannot be drastically reversed; when child prostitution and kids fencing as bread winners through risky street trading take center-space; just to highlight few of the seriously untackled woes; then practically there must be an eclipse somewhere in the corridors of power.

For now, it is all ha! ha! ha! ha! and as the profoundly suffering majority of the population with tears-fill eyes are slipping to bed on empty stomach becoming an established culture, with no glimpse of hope of even biting on the bread of sorrow; as most people are not gladly willing to bend their back over a little to extend a little handout to those craving on bended knees in the pool of starvation; while the grass is much more greener just right across the fence; let it be known that a time shall come when all that they have earned and owned without firstly caring and sharing with the outcast and rejected will show that all along, they were living on greed, sorrow and despair in the eyes of the Most High God.
