Link Aid Int’l , Orphan Cry Int’l Put Smile On The Faces Of Needy Pastors In Liberia

Link Aid International, a local faith-based nonprofit organization in partnership with Orphan Cry International, a USA- based 501(c)(3) organization on Saturday, December 29, 2018 provided assorted food supplies, Thompson Chain Study Reference Bible and training opportunity for needy pastors in Liberia.

Link Aid, as part of its mandate over the years sought to serve as Ambassador in soliciting local and foreign assistance for the desperately needy in Liberia. With this mandate, it has been quietly partnering with Orphan Cry for over four years now providing similar services to needy pastors and church leaders in Liberia during Christmas season.

This project, known as “2 Bread Project: bread of life with bread on table” is geared toward showing appreciation to pastors and church leaders for services rendered the Kingdom of God. The biblical references to the project are John 6:35/Matt. 14:13-21.

Pastors, especially in developing countries such as Liberia, are faced with a lot of constraints and challenges in effectively and efficiently doing ministry work. This belief was proven during the visits of Orphan Cry team to Liberia over the years. Consequently, Orphan Cry through its Executive Director, Ken Wilcox, Jr. and Representative/Liaison, Benjamin Kettor decided to partner with Eric Nyuma, Founder/Executive Consultant of Link Aid to initiate support by surprising local needy pastors and church leaders with Christmas gifts.

This project started since 2015 and over 450 needy pastors and church leaders have benefited from training, study reference bibles and varieties of food and non-food items.

The focus of the project is to assist the needy pastors as a non-denominational project reaching various Christian churches in Liberia. It is to provide encouragement to local pastors for their sacrificial services and to support them in that effort by providing necessities for ministry work as a token of appreciation.

During the appreciation ceremony held at the Bethesda AG Church on the SKD Boulevard 72nd, Paynesville/Monrovia, both Mr. Ken Wilcox and Mr. Benjamin Kettor brought special greeting and words of encouragement to the beneficiaries via phone. They acknowledged their supporters and sponsors in the USA who made it possible through their donations.

The two Orphan Cry executives promised to continue the annual support to needy pastors and church leaders in Liberia.

Also, the Founder/Executive Consultant of Link Aid Mr. Eric Nyuma in an exclusive interview with this paper, expressed delight that his organization was able to partner with the USA based charity to recognize the works and sacrifices of pastors and church leaders in Liberia.

According to Nyuma, Link Aid will remain instrumental to continuously seek an improved living condition for the desperately needy people of Liberia.

Some of the items presented to the needy pastors and church leaders included 25KG-Uncle Sam quality rice, gallons of Argo oil, and the research based Frank Thompson chain reference Bible, a high quality bible that enables pastors to prepare their sermons, among others.

Meanwhile, Mr. Eric Nyuma is challenging all well-meaning Liberians to join efforts with the Liberian Government in making it successful rather than just sitting on the fence and complaining of hardship. According to Mr. Nyuma, the Church and the people of Liberia have a specific and greater responsibility in the transformation of Liberia.

At the same time, some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the two charitable organizations for always remembering them through training and other empowerment initiatives. The pastors and church leaders recounted that Link Aid over the years has always network with productive partners who have the heart for Liberia. TNR
