Monrovia-The National Elders Council of the ruling Unity Party says it has learned with dismay that a ‘self style group’ calling themselves Concerned National Elders council are going about soliciting funds and jobs in the name of the National Elder Council of the Unity Party.
A release signed by Anthony L.M. Boakai Sr. Publicity Committee Chair National Elder Council and approved by K. Jonathan Nyankolor Sr. Chairman National Elder Council said there has been no time since the formation of the National Elder Council of the ruling Unity Party long before Campaign and during the just ended Presidential and General Election that we had no inner wrangling within the Council that could cause concern.
“Therefore, we want to advise our Partisans, Government officials and general public that anyone doing Business with this so-called concerned group will be doing it at their own risk” the release said.
The release furthered that there is no concerned grouping of the Unity Party that exists.
“Meanwhile, we are also encouraging all Elders from the fifteen Counties that are working with the National Elder Council of the Ruling Unity Party to continue their hard work to make sure that this Government succeeds and to take note of this Press release” Publicity Committee Chair, Boakai said.
