Liberian News: Ngarfuan Mandated To Submit Fiscal Outturn Report For 2024

Monrovia- Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngarfuan has been mandated by the Liberian Senate to submit the fiscal outturn report for 2024.

Monrovia– Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngarfuan has been mandated by the Liberian Senate to submit the fiscal outturn report for 2024.

The Senate, according to the Senate, is to establish whether or not the US$6 million appropriated in the 2024 National Budget for Car Power was disbursed to the institution.

Plenary’s decision followed the appearance of the Minister of Finance and Development Planning before that august body, to provide clarity on the appropriated amount in the 2024 National Budget for K- Power.

Minister Augustine K. Ngafuan informed Plenary that the Government of Liberia did not spend any money on K-Power as the facility was not used, contrary to media reports.

Meanwhile, Minister Ngafuan has further informed Plenary of the Liberian Senate that the General Auditing Commission (GAC) is conducting an audit on funds appropriated to Car Power as he vowed that the report will be subsequently submitted to the Legislature through its joint Public Accounts Committee
