Margibi- The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency Margibi Detachment, has apprehended a 47-year-old woman, Fatu Sione, and her 22-year-old son, Jonathan B. Kollie for being in possession of narcotic drugs and gun shots.
Margibi- The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency Margibi Detachment, has apprehended a 47-year-old woman, Fatu Sione, and her 22-year-old son, Jonathan B. Kollie for being in possession of narcotic drugs and gun shots.
They were picked up recently in the Gbandi Community, Kakata after LDEA officers were granted Search and Seizure Warrant by the Kakata Magisterial Court. The operation according to reports, was led by LDEA Margibi County Commander Alex Flomo.
During the search, the officers seized a substantial number of illicit items, including: 136 single-barrel shots, LRD 158,500.00 its equivalent USD 834.21 was seized, 22 strips of Tramadol, valued at LRD 40,400.00 approximately USD 212.63.
Other things found were One gram of Kush, with an estimated value of LRD 3,800.00 approximately USD 20.00. This paper is informed that both Fatu Sione and Jonathan Kollie are currently under investigation and will be sent to court for trial.
Meanwhile, LDEA authorities have expressed their continuous commitment to tackling illicit drug and firearms trafficking across Liberia, ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
