Monrovia- President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has called on the Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) to remain impartial and dedicated to upholding the rule of law.

Monrovia– President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has called on the Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) to remain impartial and dedicated to upholding the rule of law.

President Boakai said the legal community must be a pillar of fairness and justice for all, and members of the legal bar should remain focused and work to interpret the laws, adding their legality should be above partisan politics noting that every person’s independence is their strength.

Speaking at the induction ceremony of newly elected officers of the LNBA at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town on Friday, January 31,2025, President Boakai expressed his administration’s willingness to work closely with the LNBA, encouraging open dialogue and constructive feedback.

He stressed that members of the bar should avoid becoming involved in partisan politics, reminding them that their primary role is to serve justice and uphold the law without bias. The Liberian leader highlighted the key role that legal professionals play in ensuring peace, stability, and accountability in Liberia.

Newly elected LNBA President, Cllr. Bornor M. Varmah, and his team were officially inducted into office during the ceremony.

The event was attended by members of the judiciary, the National Legislature, diplomatic partners, and legal professionals from across the country.

President Boakai reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening legal education, ensuring access to justice for all Liberians, and promoting transparency and good governance.

The Liberia National Bar Association, a key institution in Liberia, was reminded of its responsibility to work alongside the government in ensuring that justice prevails, and the law is upheld in all corners of the nation.
