-LNBA President Expresses Gratitude To Liberian Government, People for Overwhelming Support

Liberia has been in the news these few days for paying host to an international conference successfully. It is the first of its kind since the establishment of the African Bar Association (AFBA) for Liberia as a country to play host to it activities.
Cllr. Tiawan S. Gongloe, is the brain behind the hosting of the international conference in the Liberian Republic.
In an interview, the trained and fearless lawyer and president of the Liberia National Bar Association said “I am very happy to have achieved this, I felt that I took a risk to have accepted the challenge to have the conference in Liberia, but I was wrong”.
He indicated that the conference should have been held in Egypt, but he was able to have persuaded his colleagues to have the conference in his country, Liberia.
According to Cllr. Gongloe, they were tasked to organize the conference within the time period of less than three months adding that with the level of success, he is one of the happiest persons on earth.
When he was asked what was his impression about the conference, with glee across his face he said “I am a very happy man today because of the history that has been set and we will continue to cherish this history because we don’t know when the African Bar Association will allow its conference to Liberia, maybe it will be in the next 50 years from now”.
He additionally said with the successfulness of the just ended African Bar Association conference held in Liberia, it speaks to the facts that Liberia is making gains among nations.
The Liberia National Bar Association president used the interview to thank the Liberian Government under the stewardship of President George Weah for the level of supports they (AFBA) received during their gathering in Liberia.
Although Cllr. Gongloe is one Liberian who has always been critical of governments, but in the interview he said “we may have our different views about issues but when it comes to what will promote the image of Liberia, we all share in it”.
The African Bar Association is a legal institution which since its establishment has played her role creditably in defense of the legal profession, continental legal emancipation and fostering of fraternity across the different borders within the continent.
