Liberia News: Trouble at Tubman University

Maryland County– Things are reportedly falling apart at the William V.S. Tubman University in Harper, Maryland as students are protesting the University President’s plans to change the institution’s logo.

Dr. Olu Q. Menjay has reportedly planned to effect changes to the Logo of the University, but the decision is being resisted by the student body, who are staunchly defending the university’s old logo.

According to reports, the students, representing various cross-sections of the University, are set to take to the streets and the University Campus in a demonstration aimed at protecting the university’s long standing emblem.

“The decision to replace the logo has been met with strong resistance, with many students expressing their discontent with the sudden move,” this paper learned.

It is being alleged that Dr. Menjay acted unilaterally without the involvement or knowledge of the Intern Management Team (IMT) of the University before deciding to change the logo.

According to information, “This lack of collaboration and coordination has further fueled the students’ frustration, as they believe that the university should be a place of unity and mutual respect.”

The students reportedly remain steadfast and determined to resist Dr. Menjay who is also said to be determined to forge ahead with the mapping of a new logo on the university’s facilities.

The angry students are contending that the University’s heritage and tradition embodied by the old logo should be preserved.

The impending protest is expected to draw attention to the student’s concerns and highlight the importance of inclusive decision-making within the university community.

The clash between Dr. Menjay’s administration and the students underscores the broader issue of governance and communication within Tubman University.

It is gathered that the outcome of the dispute will undoubtedly shape the future direction of the institution and its commitment to fostering a harmonious environment for all stakeholders involved.
