Liberia-A well-placed source has informed the TNR that state securities in Liberia have apprehended a Guinean fugitive accused mastermind of the 28th September massacre in Guinea 2009.
A source who hinted this paper disclosed that the accused mastermind of the 28th September massacre in Guinea 2009, Claude Couplan Pivi, who escaped prison last year in Conakry has been apprehended by a joint effort of Liberian-Guinean police.
According to report, there is ongoing paperwork to extradite him and face the full force of the law. Report says Pivi was the most decorated and feared military officer in Guinea.
He served the army for over 40 years. He fought during the Liberian and Sierra Leone Civil War to restore peace in those countries, the Government of Guinea offered £500,000 for information leading to his arrest.
An inside source informed the TNR that Claude Couplan Pivi and some of his collaborators who are believed to be planning subversive activities were arrested around Upper Cardwell, lower Montserrado County.
A well-placed source informed this paper that Mr. Couplan Pivi a retired military personnel and his collaborators were contemplating on establishing a military base in Western Liberia, mainly in Grand Cape Mounty County for subversive activities, though this has not been independently confirmed.
The Government of Guinea has been in hot pursuit of Couplan Pivi for the past times and has even offered £500,000 for information leading to his arrest.
