Liberia News: New Republic Reporter Bags Most Serviceable Media Personnel Award

Margibi-The New Republic Newspaper (TNR) versatile reporter, Moses M. Tokpah over the weekend, received the “Most Serviceable Media Personnel of Margibi County” award during an alluring occasion head in Kakata.

Awarding reporter Tokpah, who has been with the Reporter over the last eight years, is in recognition of his commitment, diligence, and trustworthiness in disseminating information and creating a path that has benefited society, mainly the people in Margibi County and beyond.

The certificate awarded to him states: “On recognition of your commitment, diligence, and trust built in you in disseminating information, writing stories, creating a path that had benefited society and its people in Margibi County and beyond the counties of Liberia, we hereby certificate you as the Most Serviceable Media Personnel of Margibi County.”

He was amongst several dignitaries including majority members of the Margibi Legislative Caucus, local government officials, community leaders, school administrator, security personnel and business owners who received awards for the different roles they have played in their respective areas of service.

The award ceremony organized by the Margibi County Early Warning Team/the Margibi County Security Council was meant to celebrate and honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and a strong dedication to the betterment of Margibi County.

The ceremony was aimed at building stronger bonds, encouraging collaboration, promoting a collective effort towards maintaining peace and harmony, as well as bringing unity, inclusivity, and transformation in the county.

It was also intended to motivate and encourage the honorees to continue rendering their valuable services to the county, and to also inspire others to actively get engage in similar endeavors.

The New Republic Newspaper’s reporter has spent about 13 years of his life reporting in the county working with different media institutions (print and electronic) covering all sectors including health, education, security, disaster, politics, and agriculture amongst many others.

With little or nothing earned over the years (volunteering), he had not ceased to inform the public thereby dedicated all his life to unearthing touching stories that have impacted the lives of many.

Mr. Tokpah is also known for his humanitarian reporting which previously earned him the ‘Human Interest Story Journalist of the Year 2020 in Margibi’ award from the offices of the County Security Program Officer and the County Information Officer.

Meanwhile, the honoree expressed his deepest gratitude for what he termed as an incredible honor and the fact that the team recognized his efforts and presented him with a ‘prestigious award.’

According to Journalist Tokpah, the award will serve as a motivation for him to even be more serviceable in the discharge of his journalistic duty.

“Your belief in me and my work is a tremendous source of motivation. Your encouragement has been instrumental in my success. Your belief in my abilities and the acknowledgment of my work motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of excellence,” he expressed.

Mr. Tokpah assured the organizers of the event and the public of his continuous commitment to serving not just the people of Margibi County, but the Liberian people and beyond.
