Margibi County-A man only identified as ‘Bless’ was reportedly stabbed to death in Kakata City, Margibi County by a suspect known as “God First” during a robbery attempt.
A police source who hinted the New Republic revealed that the incident occurred at about 7:30pm on Saturday October 9, 2024 in the New Kakata Community. The source explained that the victim and his aunt Dorcas Worlobah who was once ‘Miss Kakata’ traveled from Monrovia to Kakata to attend the graduation ceremony of a family member.
The police source further narrated that following the ceremony, the deceased and his aunt decided to go to his grandfather Tee Harris Worlobah Sr., house to spend the night, but why on their way a group believes to be criminal gang attacked him (Bless) in an attempt to steal his Bluetooth headphone.
Accordingly, ‘Bless’ decided to resist the group, but he was allegedly stabbed by a member of the group (God First) with a pair of scissors on his neck thereby bleeding profusely. However, the source averred that the victim was immediately rushed to the Kakata Health Center for treatment, but was pronounced dead three hours (10:30pm) after the incident. Our source asserted that police are continuing their investigation adding that they are making frantic efforts to have the suspects who are still at large apprehended.
Meanwhile, the tragic incident has created fear in the community and has also raised public safety concerns amongst community residents.
