Buchanan-In a heartwarming ceremony held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, the Joseph Nyuma Boakai Foundation (JNB Foundation) made a generous donation of two state-of-the-art incubators to the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan.

The donation is aimed at enhancing neonatal care and improving health outcomes for vulnerable infants in the region.

The presentation took place at the hospital where officials from the hospital and members of the Boakai Foundation gathered for the occasion. The event featured passionate speeches from both the presenters and representatives from the hospital, emphasizing the critical need for such medical equipment in the community.

Dr. Eric Gbanlon, the hospital’s medical director, expressed profound gratitude to the Joseph Nyuma Boakai Foundation for its timely support. “These incubators will greatly assist us in providing specialized care for newborns, especially those born prematurely or with medical complications,” he stated. “This donation arrives at a time when our resources are stretched thin, and we cannot thank the foundation enough for their kindness and foresight.”

The JNB Foundation, which aims to promote health and education, has remained committed to supporting healthcare facilities across Liberia. Representing the foundation, Mr. Henry Saah Flanpor, Deputy Director of the Joseph Nyuma Boakai Foundation, emphasized the organization’s dedication to health equity. “Every child deserves a fair chance at life,” he declared. “By donating these incubators, we hope to support the healthcare workers at this facility and contribute to the wellbeing of future generations.”

The incubators, equipped with the latest technology, will provide a controlled environment for premature infants, helping to regulate their body temperature and prevent infections. This donation also highlights the growing recognition of the need for improved maternal and child health services in Liberia.
