By Mark N. Mengonfia
Liberia-The plenary of the House of Representatives has summoned the Director General of the Civil Service Agency( CSA), Josiah Joka, Minister of Health, Dr. Louise M.Kpoto and Heads of affected institutions.
Their summon comes at the request of Nimba County District seven lawmaker, Musa Hassan Bility who wrote that body bringing to its attention a pensioning of 12 health workers.
In his communication addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Nimba lawmaker said, “I have been informed by authorities at the Saclepea Comprehensive Health Care, that Mr. Josiah Joka, Director of the Civil Service Agency (CSA) has pensioned 12 health care personnel without replacement, thus leaving a significant void in the facility which has since impaired critical service delivery in the district.”
He said the Saclepea Comprehensive Health Care facility provides services to hundreds of patients in the district.
“I am therefore imploring Plenary to mandate Mr. Josiah Joka to temporarily suspend his action
pending replacement of the 12 pensioned personnel, to avert the sufferings of the people and in a bid to restore calm and hope in the population” he said.
After the communication was read, plenary which is the highest decision making body of the House of Representatives agreed that the CSO boss, Health Minister and the heads of affected institutions be made to appear before full plenary.
I couldn’t refrain from commenting. Very well written!
