Liberia News: Ex-Foreign Minister Badmouths Current Administration

-Says Evil Overtakes the Land

Liberia-Former Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sunday descended on the current administration and its handling of the affairs of state, decrying what he called pervasive climate evil that has deluged the country.

Mr. Kemayah, speaking during a Thanksgiving Service held at the Forky Klon Jlaleh Family Fellowship Church, did not mince words on the administration’s alleged disregard for the welfare of its citizens, and called into question the government’s commitment failure to address the needs of the Liberian people.

According to him, the situation for Liberian citizens is dire, adding, “Imagine a citizen fighting for his own life while the administration, which is supposed to serve and protect its people, is instead fighting against him for a job they have no stake in.”

Amb. Kemayah who was recently reelected as political leader of the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE), one of few political parties that aligned with the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) in last year’s lost elections, reflected on the support he received during his recovery from a serious health issue, heaping praises on former President George Weah for his support and intervention in his health situation.

“It was by the Grace of God, alongside the care and concern from people like former President Weah, that I stand before you today,” he expressed, underscoring the importance of compassion in times of hardship.

Mr. Kemayah has acknowledged the difficult realities faced by many Liberians, including poor infrastructure and ongoing social challenges, and urged Liberians to remain discerning.

He expressed: “Do not listen to false complaints and empty promises. Our roads remain in disrepair, and we continue to see tragic losses in our communities’ issues that were once attributed to the previous administration but have persisted without redress.”

According to him, the six years under the current administration is comparable to the Israelites’ 430 years in Egypt, suggesting that the time feels burdensome given the current hardships.

“We have hope, and it lies in God and in the vision of a selfless leader a vision I believe former President Weah embodies,” Kemayah, a staunch and reliable ally of former President Weah said.

Mr. Kemayah also used the opportunity to assure his supporters of his unwavering dedication to their cause, expressing gratitude for the love and support his family has received throughout his recovery journey.
