Liberia News: Dr. Nyan Urges Graduates

…To Accomplish More In New Portfolio

Liberia-The Commencement Speaker at the University of Liberia, Dr. Chris Dougbeh Nyan has urged graduates of the institution to accomplish more as expected of them in their new portfolio as graduates of the state-run university.
Dr. Nyan Director who is the new General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHILL) said graduates of the Science Colleges have gone through the required courses including agriculture through professional studies.
Speaking at the 104th Commencement Convocation of the William R. Tolbert College of College of Agriculture & Forestry, the TJR Faulkner College of Science, the College of Engineering, and the Straz Vocational College, Sinje University Campus, Dr. Nyan reminded the graduates that graduation ceremonies are always special for their remarkable personal achievements and journey shift by challenges, sacrifices and uncertainty.
“That is why today, we have gathered here to celebrate your resilience. As you now hold will be holding degrees as symbolized, your readiness to take on the world,” Dr. Nyan said.
Dr. Nyan furthered that this not a small feat as he commended each and every graduates for arriving at this point at this difficult moment.
Dr. Nyan disclosed that he sees the future of Liberia and generation that will reset the society and lead Liberians to that future defined by progress development and sustainability.
He stressed that some expects are expecting, some are expected and some are unexpected, but whatever the case may be, he see the graduates and see that they are currently in that innovative spirit that is why he’s very covenant that graduates are capable of overcoming and a challenge as well as creating new opportunities.
Dr. Nyan emphasized that emerging as entrepreneur to create businesses in your area of studies like business opportunities and advising new and noble technologies that will change the way we live and your contributions will matter.
