“Talk That Free”

MONROVIA-The Chief Spokesman of the Liberian Government Ledgerhood Rennie has described Government’s critics as free talkers.

The Minister of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) said those who are criticizing the government are not providing facts but only hate messages because they have fallen apart with the government.

Speaking Wednesday, February 22, 2023, on OK FM, Minister Rennie called on those young political activists and leaders to desist from negative politics.

Minister Rennie further boosted the Government’s developmental achievement in the areas of road connectivity, electricity, the availability of water as well as education.

He further noted that the Government cannot prosecute those former Government Officials who were sanctioned by the  United States Government.

According to him, the sanction was administrative, and the Government of Liberia

He said the law is a domestic law of the United States of America and those who have been sanctioned have not come in conflict of breaking any law of Liberia.

Minister Rennie clarified that those former Government Officials did resign contrary to the government critics that they were dismissed by the Liberian president George Weah.

He said Government does not have the legal instruments concerning the allegation by the United States Government of those Liberians because it is not an international matter but a domestic matter of the United State Government.
