BASSA-An officer of Farley’s Secure Guard Services Security Firm, Prince Toe, 51, has been reported dead after he allegedly fell from the top of a store in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

The incident, according to the report, occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 23, 2023 in the Tarr Bar Community at the Satguru Trading Limited, adjacent to the Hardware Building Material Store in Buchanan while serving guard on duty.

Farley’s Secure Guard Services is a private Security Firm that is currently providing security services to many private and public entities in Grand Bassa County.

The Farley’s Secure Guard Services office is situated in the Sugarcane Farm Community, Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, the community where the deceased was residing prior to his death.

James Toe and Adolphus Gardea, workmates of the deceased alleged that Toe sat on the edge of the Satguru Trading Limited Store and fell asleep something they said led to his death.

Toe, 51, was pronounced dead by doctors of the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan upon arrival.

The Acting Director of Farley’s Guard Secure Services, Erasmond Fokpa has described the death of their security officer as regrettable, disappointing, and a serious setback to the entity and his family.

According to him, Mr. Toe has been tremendously committed to providing services within just five months of his contract with the firm.

Fokpa mentioned that the firm will do everything humanly possible to actively get involved in his interment.

Despite the information that the deceased felt from the top of the store leading to his untimely death, residents are doubtful of his death.

Family members and residents of the Sugarcane Farm Community where the late Toe lived are calling on the Liberia National Police to conduct what they called a ‘speedy investigation’ to establish what actually led to the death of their relative.

The remains of the deceased is currently at the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County as the Police investigation continues.

    Greetings:
This should be a Training Example of Security Officers sleeping if this is in fact the case. Also, what was the officer doing onthe roof of a building. What kind of training did the security officer get – how long was the training – has the officer ever been disciplined in the past for sleeping on duty -these are just questions a few of the questions that must be asked of the security company management..
